The official synopsis for Young Sheldon’s upcoming 100th episode reveals the fan-favorite guest star who will appear in the milestone excursion.
Young SheldonThe 100th episode guest star has finally been revealed. Big Bang theory Spin-off’s current year is on its last piece. But before it officially ends, the sitcom must also celebrate an important milestone that reaches 100 episodes after more than five years, which is actually a rare feat today for networking programs. So of course fans are expecting some big surprises from the CBS sitcom.
Premiere in 2017, Young Sheldon released back-to-back in its first two years with its parent series. But after Big Bang theory ended in 2019, the spin-off has stood by itself. Although it still has not reached the level of popularity that the original show enjoyed, it is CBS ‘leading comedy that draws millions of viewers every week. At this point in its storytelling, it has a lot of ongoing narratives, all of which are waiting for their culmination. It is currently on hiatus due to the NCAA’s March Madnessbut it turns out to be worth the wait, as its next offering will mark the 100th episode milestone for the project.
With it, Young Sheldon season 5, episode 17’s synopsis from Futon critic has already been revealed. The excursion entitled “A Solo Peanut, a Social Butterfly and the Truth” will feature the return of McKenna Grace’s Paige – Sheldon’s prodigy competitor. It’s been a while since fans saw the character, and even though she does not perform regularly, it is always a fun time when she makes a comeback, especially given her interesting dynamics with the socially incompetent genius. According to the official CBS brief, the episode will see Paige ask Sheldon for a strange favor; what it may be is someone’s guess at this point.
Another place in the next Young Sheldon section, Georgie (Montana Jordan) will finally come out clean about her real age his girlfriend, Mandy (Emily Osment). One can remember that he lied about being 21 when he was just 17 when she was almost 30. It will definitely be an awkward conversation. Meanwhile, Meemaw (Annie Potts) and Dale (Craig T. Nelson)’s unexpected split will put Mary (Zoe Perry) and George (Lance Barber) in an awkward position as they are caught in the middle. But while they may not be directly involved in the breakup, it may lead to another conflict that may ultimately force them to face their own relationship problems. And given how stressed George has been over the past few weeks due to work, it’s not outside the realm of opportunity that he has another meltdown.
Whether or not Young Sheldon‘s 100th episode will feature yet another surprise guest that remains to be seen. Mayim Bialik’s expected return as Amy went straight down, so one Big Bang theory cameo can be ruled out, at least in the foreseeable future. Nevertheless, given that the upcoming outing sounds jam-packed, it might be best for the sitcom to just focus on its narrative instead of the shoehorn’s surprise appearances.
Young Sheldon season 5 airs every Thursday on CBS.
