Tamil Nadu’s chief minister, MP Stalin, on Saturday distributed social assistance and a maintenance allowance to people with disabilities. He also handed over the keys of gasoline scooters equipped with connection wheels to five beneficiaries at the Secretariat here.

Later, the Chief Minister inaugurated the brand new Sankalp – The Learning Center & Special Needs School in Kollapancheri in Tiruvallur district, in a virtual event.

Sankalp School has been working to improve the lives of special children for about 20 years. About 200 children study at this school, which has launched specialized training for children with learning disabilities and those with autism.

In addition, children with disabilities will be offered special treatments such as physiotherapy and speech therapy, a statement said.
