President Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, was transferred to Medanta Hospital in Lucknow on Sunday due to low oxygen levels and complaints of shortness of breath.
Mahant Gopal Das was taken to Lucknow Hospital after his health deteriorated in the morning and doctors at Ayodhya District Hospital advised him to be admitted to a better facility, PTI told PTI. his partner Kamal Nayan Das.
Nayan Das, a resident of Math Maniram Chhawni where the two seers lived, said that in addition to the declining oxygen level, Gopal Das also suffered from a cold and cough and excessive urine flow. .
Doctors here kept him under observation for a while, but then referred him to Medanta Hospital in Lucknow, he said.
Mahant Nritya Gopal Das tested positive for Covid-19 last year as a result of which he was subsequently admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon where he underwent long-term treatment.
When he returned to his residence here in Maniram Chhawani, he strictly followed all Covid protocols, avoiding any public engagement, including meeting his followers at his ashram, he said.
