Pune: the preparations underway by the directors and directors of the colleges to reopen the colleges

With the directors of the colleges who are preparing for reopen after a year and a half on October 11, principals are in difficulty because only students who have been vaccinated with two doses will be allowed in the classrooms.

SS Deshmukh, Deputy Director of Modern College and member of the Progressive Education Society, said: “Two doses for students seems difficult given the age group. We just heard that we will take the necessary action now. “

Meanwhile, Rajendra Zunjarrao, director of Modern College, said they would start with practical work, especially for outgoing students – final year end-of-year courses and second-year postgraduate courses. “For all courses that have practical work, they will have to be considered first and theory later. We will start with practical work for graduate, postgraduate and first year students in a progressive manner. For the theory, we will start with postgraduates because class sizes are small, followed by final year students from all courses, class XII, then second and first year, ”Zunjarrao said.

Principal Muktaja Matkari, of the SNDT College of Home Science, said the declaration to reopen physical classes was pending, so preparations were already underway.

“Our teachers have been trained in electronic content development and we have planned the teaching module, which includes 40% online teaching and 60% offline teaching. The junior wing, which has already started, allowed us to overcome any shortcomings. We have started collecting data on the number of students vaccinated with two doses. The repetition of the teaching is planned in the timetable because the students will be divided into two groups. Our hostel having been a quarantine center, it has been regularly disinfected and will be disinfected again in order to admit the students of the deportees. As the first year admissions are still ongoing, we have to start classes a week later, ”she said.
