That Obi-Wan Kenobi the trailer suggests that more Jedi survived Order 66. Lucasfilm is preparing for the release of its Disney + show after The book about Boba Fett. The project marks the long-awaited return of Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi. 10 years after Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. That means it’s also a decade since Order 66, which almost wiped out the entire Jedi Order.

In the beginning, only Obi-Wan and Jedi Grand Master Yoda were the known survivors of the evil plan of Emperor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid). About three months before the series’ premiere, it was trailer to Obi-Wan Kenobi has been officially released, giving fans their first look at the project. It has a montage of images that reveal its cast consisting of new and old characters. Probably one of the most interesting aspects of it, though, is Obi-Wan’s voiceover, which says: “The fight is over. We lost. Stay hidden.” The clip does not reveal who he is talking to, and this is on purpose to ensure that no spoilers are accidentally revealed. Based on his line, it’s safe to say he’s talking to another Jedi. However, it can not be Jedi Grand Master Yoda who assumes that they are able to communicate secretly during their time in secret, given the tone of his message. Instead, he appears to be talking to a subordinate – someone who is in a lower rank than he is in terms of the Jedi Order, suggesting that others The Jedi have survived order 66 Star wars have not revealed yet.

Grogu-Star-Wars-Order-66-Flashback-clones

For what it’s worth, Lucasfilm has already confirmed that there are other Jedi who were able to escape the Clone Trooper murders. The animated series, Star Wars rebels, featured a character named Kanan Jarrus (pronounced by Freddie Prinze Jr.), who was saved by the combined efforts of Depa Billaba, as well as Officers Gray and Styles. Recently, The Mandalorian introduced Grogu, another Order 66 survivor. The “background” of the “child” has not yet been fully revealed, however The book about Boba Fett showed a snippet of his escape from the Clone Troopers that came after him. Given this, it is not outside the scope of the possibility Obi-Wan Kenobi actually debuting new characters who were also able to escape The evil plan of Emperor Palpatine. In fact, there is even a rumor that the project starts with a flashback with two Padawans fleeing while their Jedi Masters fight the mind-controlled Clone Troopers.

Assuming this is the case, it is curious what will happen in the future with the other Jedi who survived Order 66. Previous Star wars storytelling, including the sequel trilogy, does not include any of them, which could be an indication that their chances of surviving the events of Obi-Wan Kenobi sh0w is slim. In any case, it will still be interesting how Obi-Wan reacts to encountering Padawans, especially since he still bears the blame for what happened to Anakin Skywalker.
