Maisie Williams’ production company Rapt teams up with British indie Delaval Film for Salvation Has No Name

Game Of Thrones the stars have been very successful in the theater industry, now they are slowly spreading their wings and trying new things. Last year, the platform Contact was launched, initially offering models a way to take reservations and manage certain aspects of their work. He is backed and supported by the Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams who is also the startup’s creative strategist and advisor.

Contact has now raised a $ 1.9million (£ 1.4million) seed funding round led by Founders Fund. Participation is also LAUNCH (the investor-led fund Jason calacanis), Sweet capital (Going through Lamb Pippa), VC thief (Going through Alice lloyd george) and angel investors Simon beckerman (co-founder of Depop), Eric Wahlforss (co-founder of SoundCloud and now To dance), Abe burns and Joe white.

While Contact’s initial incarnation is aimed at the modeling world, its vision is much broader. Co-founder and CEO Ruben selby, the boyfriend of Maisie Williams, a fashion designer who was previously part of Williams’ founding team when she started her career, has worked with Nike, Thom Browne and JW Anderson. He says the platform aims to become a scalable back-end solution in the $ 104.2 billion creator economy, “democratizing” access to the world’s top creative talent.

Williams’ production company Rapt has teamed up with UK independent films Delaval for a new animated feature film. Are you excited about Maisie Williams’ new venture? Tell us in the comments below!
