Krishna Kumar excluded as education secy, Agarwal out of power department

The government of Punjab on Monday dismissed Krishan Kumar from the post of education secretary as he underwent a major administrative reshuffle, displacing 24 IAS officers and 12 PCS officers. Kumar, who held the post for four and a half years, has been replaced by Ajoy Sharma.

It was under Kumar that the Punjab topped the overall ranking of schools on the Performance Scoring Index released by the Ministry of Education in June this year. He now holds the post of Secretary of Higher Education, in addition to holding the additional post of Managing Director of the Punjab Infrastructure Development Board.
