Haryana police use water cannons to disperse Jhajjar farmers
Haryana police on Friday used a water cannon to disperse a group of farmers trying to force their way through Jhajjar where Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala was scheduled to attend a program. A group of protesters jumped from the barricades and tried to force their way to the location, police said.
The venue for the event was a government college in Jhajjar.
Police said protesters gathered near the venue, some of them jumping over barricades to forcibly enter.

Senior police officials from Jhajjar and the deputy commissioner arrived to monitor law and order.
Later today, Chautala is also expected to attend another event in Jhajjar.
A group of farmers jumped over police barricades on Thursday in an attempt to make their way to the location of a BJP meeting in the Karnal Indri, police said earlier.
Among those present at the meeting were MP Indri Ram Kumar Kashyap and top BJP leader Pawan Saini.
The farmers, who are protesting against the three central agricultural laws, have opposed the public functions of the BJP-JJP combine in Haryana.
