Hansal Mehta gives his support to Shah Rukh Khan: “Painful for a parent”

Several celebrities have shown their support for Shah Rukh Khan after his his son Aryan Khan was arrested during a recent raid by the Narcotics Control Bureau. Filmmaker Hansal Mehta is the latest Bollywood personality to openly support the superstar.

The director of Shahid took to Twitter and wrote: “It is painful for a parent to have to deal with a child who is in trouble. It gets worse when people start speaking out before the law has run its course. It is disrespectful and unfair to the parent and the parent-child relationship. With you @iamsrk.

Earlier, Pooja Bhatt, Suchitra Krishnamoorthy and Suniel Shetty had spoken about the arrest and its consequences. SRK’s close friend and former co-star Salman Khan was seen visiting Shah Rukh’s residence, Mannat, on Sunday evening.

Aryan Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau on Saturday evening for questioning after drugs were discovered on the cruise he was on. Aryan was then arrested along with Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaaz Merchant. Khan was detained under sections 8C, 20B, 27 and 35 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS).
