Gujarat government to begin recruiting process for 28,000 vacant police posts soon
The Gujarat government will soon begin the process of recruiting 27,847 police personnel, including sub-inspectors and home guards, an official said on Monday. Notably, the police recruitment process had been on hold for some time due to the coronavirus outbreak.
An official statement said that Gujarat Minister of State for the Interior, Harsh Sanghavi, on September 19 held a review meeting with the chairmen of the various police recruiting committees and asked them to complete. the recruitment process as early as possible.
“To reinforce the public order scenario, Chief Minister Bhpendra Patel has decided to launch the recruitment process to fill 27,847 posts in the Ministry of the Interior. Recruitment will be carried out for armed and unarmed PSIs, Assistant Deputy Inspectors, Intelligence Officers, Police Officers, PSIs for Wireless and Motorized Transport Divisions, Home Guards and Gram Rakshak staff.
