Gujarat CM to Virtually Address Indian Pavilion at Dubai Expo Today

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel is expected to virtually address the Indian pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020 on Wednesday. Patel will speak at a special session on Dholera SIR (Special Investment Region).

The CM, who has been invited for a keynote address, will speak on the theme of “setting a new benchmark for the smart industrial city – Dholera Industrial City”.

Dholera SIR is one of the ambitious entirely new projects of the government of Gujarat and is located approximately 110 km from the city of Ahmedabad.

The “Dholera, Pioneer of Smart Industrial Development in India” session is scheduled to be held at 4:00 pm Besides CM Patel, Indian Consul General in Dubai Aman Puri, Chairman of Airport Authority of India Sanjeev Kumar and Group Vice-Chairman Sharaf Sharafuddin Sharaf will also virtually join the session.

The Indian Pavilion at Expo Dubai focuses on 11 main themes including climate and biodiversity, space, urban and rural development, tolerance and inclusiveness, water, travel and connectivity, global goals, health and wellness, among others.

Indian express has previously reported that Dholera SIR is near a critical milestone as it nears 100% completion of work on the 22.5 square km of activation area that is part of the Phase 1 development.
