Stating that the government is implementing its electric vehicle policy with a view to encouraging the production of electric vehicles, Thackeray also urged people to use electric vehicles in an effort to reduce rising pollution levels.
“Pollution is increasing in the state. To reduce pollution, the state government has implemented an electric vehicle policy. The government is trying to encourage industries to produce more electric vehicles. At the same time, we are calling on people to opt for electric vehicles, which is in the wider interest of the state and its environment, ”he said.
During his visit to Tata Motors, the Minister showed interest and observed the production of electric vehicles closely. He took note of various aspects of electric vehicle production including expense, vehicle quality, battery life, charging facilities and other related items. Minister of State Sanjay Bansode accompanied him.
