Acting as a comedy takes a lot of courage, skill and hard work, especially if it’s a show as big as Game Of Thrones. Hannah waddingham, who recently won an Emmy nomination for her role as Ted Lasso, was very brave in auditions for Game of Thrones. She was very worried when she tried out the role of Septa Unelle because she was pregnant at the time, and thought she was in the wrong place.

She spoke to Kate thornton on the White Wine Question Time podcast about juggling her career as a single mom. Waddingham said, “[The show] was thus established. But I had been so busy doing theater, eight shows a week. And so I knew that of course, but it was season five when I went to the audition for it.

I was almost eight and a half months pregnant, like cheekbone pregnant, you know, when your face joined you last month! I walked in, and honestly I really thought I was in the wrong place.

“Because all the women were about 70 meters, about 1.50 meters, and about 20 feet wide. I was like, ‘Okay. I appreciate that I’m pregnant right now, but I’m definitely in the wrong cast.

Apparently I had been chosen as a wild card. So when I went to the meeting and met [producers] David [Benioff] and Dan [Weiss], and I was kind of like, ‘Hello. I don’t really know why I’m here and I don’t know anything about Game of Thrones. And I’m so pregnant I could have an accident here!

She explained that in the middle of the audition, she accidentally hit a casting assistant in the leg with a wooden ladle. She said: “In the middle of the tape, when I’m supposed to be really mean, I was like, ‘Oh my god, honey. Are you doing OK?”

Some actors know their roles so well that they become so in the eyes of the public. Game Of Thrones Star Kit Harington became famous when his character Jon Snow became a household name after the show’s huge success. However, playing the role for nearly a decade hasn’t been easy for the 34-year-old actor.

In a promotional interview for the series Modern love, Kit spoke to PTI on his career plans. He said, “I can’t answer this question because I never really had a plan. I just go where the writing looks good and the thing works with my life. And I try to choose the parts that I find interesting.

“I did that (Modern Love) because it was a little lighter. You know, for 10 years I maybe did the least comedic character on TV. Like literally couldn’t do a joke. And when they played a joke on me, it just didn’t work. So doing something like Modern Love, where there is a bit of humor and lightness, seemed like a very refreshing thing to me. to do.

“I love the anthology stuff. It is a piece of anthology. I did Criminal, which I loved. I’m doing another piece of this, which is quite similar.

“It kind of gives me the opportunity to jump in, tell this little story and get out. And then this tiny little piece of bedroom exists and hopefully speaks to people. But it’s very manageable. Harington said.

It’s always a pleasure to see our favorite Game Of Thrones stars on other shows. The Game of Thrones star Tobias Menzies, who played Edmure Tully in the show, partnered with Sophie Okonédo for Modern Amazon Love Season 2.

The duo play divorced parents trying to rekindle a lost flame in the show’s second season. In a recent interview with Collider, Menzies explains why he was drawn to the Modern Love script.

“I read the article and listened to the podcast, which is also a read of the article, and felt the vibe of the New York Times article itself. This is where I started. We’re doing a dramatization, but it wasn’t fiction when it was released, so it’s the real life of this couple. It inherently attracted me to it.

When asked about his experience working with Sophie, he said: “He’s really one of the best actors I’ve worked with. She’s really genuine, very honest about things, and really insists on making it happen on camera. You can’t pretend, which is really galvanizing and energizing. It’s exciting. “

“We had a similar way of working. We were both interested in digging into the script with Kieran [Carney] and Jean [Carney], in the week or two before, and talking about possible changes or whether there were things we could cut, and they were open to that as well. On that side, I find it really useful, as a way to access material where there could be pushes and pulls and conversation around the material itself. You never really know when you’re getting into these things, but it was a pretty happy collaboration.
